Q: Do I need to have previous experience to volunteer with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure? A: The majority of the volunteer positions available do not require
any previous volunteer experience. However, it is recommended that Team Leaders have previous CIBC Run for
the Cure volunteer experience.
Q: Is there a minimum commitment of hours required to volunteer with
the CIBC Run for the Cure? A: Each volunteer role has different time requirements in terms of
shift lengths, training and tasks being performed, but usually most shifts are
4 hours in length on the day of the CIBC Run for the Cure. When you view the positions you will be able
to see the length of the shift you are applying for.
Q: Can I volunteer with a friend or as part of group? A: Yes. Please encourage your friends or group to register online
and have them choose the same volunteer activity that you are assigned/interested
in. We cannot guarantee that you will be matched with your friend or group, if
you don’t both go online and sign up for the same position.
Q: Does volunteering for the CIBC Run for the Cure qualify for high
school community service hours? A: Yes. After the event, you will be able to download a statement
outlining your volunteer hours through the website. Here’s how:

Log into your volunteer profile
- Click on the Reports Tab
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the
Hours and Achievement Report section
- Change the date range to include the time frame
you need
- Click “View Report” to see the report or “Export
Report” to create a PDF version you can save and/or print
If no hours appear
and you did indeed volunteer, please contact your local volunteer coordinator.

Q: Can youth (ages 14-17) volunteer at the CIBC Run for the Cure? A: Yes. However, if you are
under the age 18 please obtain parental or legal guardian consent before
completing this online application. Your parent or guardian must be present to
electronically consent to the terms and conditions.
Minimum Age Policy:
the safety and well being of our people is of the utmost importance to us
therefore, only applicants 14 and up will be considered for volunteer
opportunities. If you are under the age of 14, you must volunteer with your
parent or guardian (18 or older). Both candidates must apply online together,
and sign up for the same activity in order to be accepted as a volunteer).

Q: How do I become a CIBC Run for the Cure volunteer? A: Visit cbcf.org > Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run
for the Cure > Locations and click the link for your location. Click the “Volunteer” button on the right
side of the screen. Click on the “Sign
Up” button on the right hand side of the screen and complete the volunteer
application.
Q: Do I need to fill out an application again if I volunteered last
year? A: If you filled out an online
application last year you do not need to do it again this year. Simply log into your volunteer profile with
the user name and password you created in the past.
Q: How do I log into my volunteer profile? A: Visit cbcf.org

the “Volunteer” button on the right side of the screen. Click on the “Log In” button on the right
side of the screen and enter your user name and password to get into your
volunteer profile.
You can also access
your volunteer profile by going to www.MyVolunteerPage.com
and entering your user name and password.
Be sure to update your contact information so we can get in touch with
you.
If you completed a
paper (offline) volunteer application last year, please contact your local
volunteer coordinator to confirm whether you were entered into the system and
had a username/password created for you.

Q: I’ve forgotten my user name and password. What do I do? A: When you try to log into your volunteer profile there is a link
that says “Forgot your user name and password? Click here”. Follow that link and enter either your user
name or email address to have the password reset or your user name emailed to
you.
