FUNDRAISING REWARDS

The 2012 Fundraising Rewards Program has officially closed. Thank you for participating.

Fundraising Reward Levels

This year, Fundraising Rewards are comprised of gift cards and products starting at level $500 and go up to $2,000! Read below for more information. The new Fundraising Rewards program has been revamped thanks to your feedback from our post-event survey. This incentive structure is reflective of other charityprograms and events.

How the Program Works

The more you raise... the more options you have! Each level (i.e. $500, $750, etc.) provides additional options for you to choose from. You may redeem one prize, one time by selecting the item of your choice, at the level in which you qualify.

All fundraising donations (online and offline) must be received by the Foundation on or before October 31st. Any additional donations received by the Foundation after October 31st will be gratefully accepted but will not count towards the Fundraising Rewards program. Once you have completed all your fundraising efforts you can redeem your prize of choice at the level in which you qualify.

Note: Participants can redeem prizing at anytime, however if you redeem before you finish fundraising or before your offline donations are reflected on the online system, you will not have the option to redeem again. Remember, you are only allowed to redeem one time.

Team fundraising totals are not eligible for Fundraising Rewards as they do not count towards an individual’s fundraising total. If a donor mistakenly donates to your team and would like to transfer the donation to an individual participant, the donor must contact our Donor Services department by October 31st, 2012. After this date team donations are non-transferable as the fundraising component of this program has closed.

Fundraising Reward Draws

This year, those who raise $3,500 are entered into a draw for additional prizing! Those who raise $5,000 are entered into the $3,500 draw as well as the $5,000 draw! Anyone who qualifies for these draws can also redeem at the $2,000 level. All draws will take place after January 31, 2013 and the winners will be contacted by the Foundation.

Banger Boards are high quality stand-up paddle boards to accommodate riders of all sizes. Each board is made from fibreglass with a bamboo / wood veneer and a double coat of epoxy finish providing a solid finish protecting from chips and marks. Banger Boards are sold as a package (board, paddle and carrying bag) leaving you with all the accessories to start paddling the day you receive your board. The board is 10.5' long x 30" wide. Paddles are adjustable and made of carbon fibre.

Redemption & Shipping

On October 1st, participants will have access to redeem through their Participant Centre. All shipments require a signature. It is strongly encouraged to provide an address where someone will be available between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special shipping arrangements or priority shipping cannot be made.

NOTE: if you make a self-donation and choose to redeem a prize, the MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) of the prize will be deducted from your tax receipt total. Please see our FAQ’s page for more information.

 

Offline and Online Donations

Offline and online fundraising totals will be updated to the online system on a weekly basis. Please check back each Monday to see your updated fundraising total. This process will begin October 1, 2012.

Important Dates

October 1st: Program opens and redemption begins

October 31st:
Last day to qualify for the Fundraising Rewards program. All offline donations must be received into the P.O. Box by October 31st. All online donations must be submitted online by October 31st to count towards the Fundraising Rewards program.

January 31st, 2013:
Program closes & last day to redeem
